Freelance Technical IT Project Manager

About the Position

For an international customer in the financial sector, with office in greater Copenhagen, we are looking for a well-seasoned and driven Project Manager to lead and coordinate cyber security and IT production-related tasks with the support from the Nordic CTO and CISO. This role is critical to ensuring the security and resilience of clients IT infrastructure while driving continuous improvements across their production systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both cybersecurity and IT Production, with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

6 month contract with option for 6 month extension.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management: ensure end-to-end responsibility for achieving project’s objectives in accordance with commitments made, entity’s strategic goals and sponsor’s expectations

  • Plan, execute, and coordinate projects primarily as a result of demands stemming from the client, which are, but not limited to IT assessment outcomes and remediation roadmap, IT Group directives, cyber security and IT Production initiatives.
  • Define the required project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with Nordic CTO and CISO.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful project completion.
  • Identify all risks, define and manage migitation plans accordingly.
  • Manage, monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Incorporates change management into the project and provides support in this respect for the activities concerned.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for coordinating relations with all stakeholders (IT Operations, IT Security experts, architects, developers, PF Central IT Risk interlocutors, third parties where relevant, CTO, CISO, CIO…) and secures their commitment throughout the project.
  • Facilitate the set follow up meetings, ensuring the status, progress, who owns the actions, expected target dates are inventorized, actions are documented clearly and concisely. 
  • Detect blocking points in the remediation actions, demand from the experts the reason for the blocking point and document revised action plan, with adjusted target dates. Ensure this is communicated with the above-mentioned stakeholders.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, task tracking, risk logs, and status reports.
  • Provide regular project updates (%progress, updated planning and budget, indicators, risks and mitigation plans) to relevant stakeholders, according to methodology in place, in a consistent and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that all project-related documentation is stored securely and in compliance with organizational policies.
